Darrell sighed. He was getting sick of Tammy and her crap. Traffic was heavy, and he texted her, but she still gave him shit for it. If he hadn’t JUST gotten laid, he probably would have blown a gasket.

Darrell sucked his teeth. He had a feeling she would try to pull something like this for two reasons, so he wasn’t surprised. First, she didn’t want to leave Tristan with him because she didn’t trust him, and second, because he mentioned they were going to the Zoo, and he knew how much Tammy loved it there.

Darrell sighed as he waited in the living room. He still needed to figure out something with Tammy. Darrell didn’t want her coming to every event he had planned with Tristan, but he also didn’t need the courts sniffing around his income right now. He knew that Tammy had him by the balls, and there was nothing he could do about it for now. She came out of the back room with a cooler outfit on.

Darrell drove silently to the Zoo. Tammy sang loudly to the radio. She always had a lovely voice. It was one of the things that really attracted him to Tammy when they first met. She sang at Karaoke at a bar, and she was terrific. Little did he know she also had rage and trust issues.

Darrell, Tammy, and Tristan all walked into the Zoo.

They went to the Bear enclave. Darrell lifted Tristen up so he could see.

Darrell put Tristan down, and he immediately ran toward the peacocks wandering around the food court. Tammy and Darrell sat down on a nearby bench.

Darrell sighed. He was so sick of Tammy and her mood swings. She was so sexy, but he wasn’t trying to deal with the madness that came with it anymore. As much as he wanted her out of his life, she was still the mother of his child. He didn’t want Tristan to end up hating him or hating her because they couldn’t get their issues together.

Tammy nodded. She didn’t say anything, but she was still frowning. Darrell decided that was a good sign. If she wasn’t grilling him, it meant she accepted his response. He stood up and walked toward Tristan and picked him up. They walked through the park toward the giraffes.

They reached the giraffes, and Darrell put Tristan down. Tammy looked at the Giraffes for a moment before Darrell’s phone vibrated in his pocket. It was Wayne. He answered it.

Tammy picked up Tristan.

She walked quickly toward the exit. Darrell ran to catch up to her. They got to the entrance before Tammy put Tristan down and rounded on Darrell.

He stomped toward his car and jumped in. He screeched out of the parking lot toward his apartment at full speed. One phone call and she had completely lost her mind, he thought. He didn’t understand why he decided to knock up the one girl in the ghetto who had a problem with drug dealers. He sighed. This wasn’t going to be a good thing at all.
